Yoshimi Shrine

Yoshimi Shrine has the largest ginkgo tree in Misato Town, with the size of 4.2 meters in girth, 20.0 meters tall and 300 years old. It is designated as a City's Cultural Property. It is also a tree for Meiji 100th anniversary celebration. The shrine itself was founded in 1487, and was rebuilt in 1754. Later the outer shrine was built in 1916. The enshrined deity is Asotsuhime no Mikoto, a goddess for easy deliveries. Many people visit the shrine to pray for a safe birth.
